The Bangaram Island Resort is an exclusive world-class resort with a back to nature concept. It accommodates thirty couples in simple thatched cottage rooms, each with a verandah; cane tables and chairs sit outside the restaurant on the beach, and a few hammocks are strung up between the palms. There's no air-conditioning, TV, radio, telephone, newspapers, or shops, let alone discos. Facilities here include scuba diving, glass-bottomed boat trips to neighbouring uninhabited islands, deep-sea fishing, kayaks, catamarans and a sailboat. Emphasis here on natural beauty and simplicity and is a paradise for sun worshippers, divers, snorkellers and anyone who wants to get away from it all and have a relaxing 'no frills' holiday.

Bangaram can be visited all year round. The warmest months are April and May, when daytime temperatures can reach 33 C. The monsoon months (between May & September) surprisingly attract rains only in the form of passing showers. The island is very peaceful and serene. The only visitors are islanders who come to Bangaram in search of fish and to harvest coconuts.
Cuisine: Coconut and fish are abundantly available on the island and naturally there would be no meal without these. The cuisine at Bangaram is international and also offers a selection from the coast of India and the islands of Lakshadweep. There is also a well stocked bar at the resort.
The Wanderers are delighted to take you on this amazing journey of discovery where peace and quiet and heart warming solitude are nurtured carefully and allowed to mingle with the ocean breeze, the setting sun and the calm waters of the Arabian Sea.
At present, the only way to reach Bangaram is on a boat from Agatti, which takes two hours. The same journey in the monsoons is done by a helicopter. Agatti is connected by a Dornier plane of Indian Airlines (6 days a week) from Kochi (Cochin). Current airfare (approx): Rs.9000 per person return for Indian Nationals. There is another flight from Goa as well. So combine Goa/ Lakshadweep for a perfect beach holiday.
