Why Sikkim - Sikkim Tour Packages

Sandwiched between Tibet to the North and North West, Nepal to the West, Bhutan to the East and the hills of Darjeeling District on the South, lies the tiny and beautiful state of Sikkim. The entire state is mountainous with the majestic massif of Mt. Khangchendzonga and the other peaks i.e Mt Siniolchu, Mt Pandim, Mt Narsing, Mt Jopuno etc. dominating the views to the North. At 8586 m, Khangchendzonga is the third highest peak in the world. Sikkim conjures up images of piercing snow covered mountain peaks towering above the luxuriant and tropical forests, exotic flora and fauna, famous and forgotten monasteries, tumbling waterfalls and streams and awesome trek routes. There are emerald rivers ideal for rafting, lush paddy fields, warm hearted people, a rugged wilderness and alpine meadows dotted with wildflowers to light up ones senses!

When to go

For jeep safaris and culture tours, the best period is March to mid- June and October to Dec. January to Mar is very cold with snowfall in North Sikkim. For trekking the best time is Spring, summer and Autumn coinciding with March to May and October.
