Day 1: Nairobi
Upon arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi you will be met and assisted by our representative for transfer to your hotel where you will be assisted with the check in formalities.
After a pre-safari briefing and depending on your arrival schedule, depart in the afternoon for a city tour. View the parliament buildings, Kenyatta International conference centre and then proceed to the view point for breathtaking view of the city.
Enjoy dinner at the local Indian restaurant. Overnight at Nairobi.
Day 2: Nairobi - Masai Mara National Game Reserve
Today after breakfast, travel from Nairobi, the capital city to the famous Masai Mara National Reserve. This National Reserve is perhaps the only region left in Kenya where the visitor may see animals in the same super-abundance such as existed a century ago.
Famous for the annual migration of around 1.5 million wildebeest, the Masai Mara is also home to many other animals including Lions, Buffaloes, Leopard, Cheetah, Elephants and other plain’s game. It covers some 1530 square km and is bounded by the Serengeti Park to the south, the Siria escarpment to the west and Maasai pastoral ranches to the north, east and west. The terrain of the reserve is primarily open savannah grassland with seasonal riverlets.
Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge. Afternoon after lunch, set out on a game drive until sunset.
Dinner and overnight at Masai Mara.
Day 3: Masai Mara National G.R
Early morning game drive before the dawn is perfect start for the day. Masai Mara is the reason why people come to Kenya in the first place. One look is enough to explain its appeal. This is classic African savanna, with the sheer destiny of wildlife. Or see the landscape from a different view!
Today instead of the morning game drive, you can also opt for a spectacular Balloon Ride across the Masai Mara. This safari begins in the pre dawn hours and towards the end of the safari, you rise to a height of 1500 feet for a panoramic view of the twisting Mara River and the savannah below.
Return to your lodge for a late breakfast after which you can enjoy the morning at leisure or an optional mid-morning game drive if your thirst for wildlife is yet to be satiated. Return to your lodge for lunch.
Later depart for an afternoon game drive in the reserve. Return to your lodge.
Dinner and overnight at Masai Mara.
Day 4: Masai Mara - Lake Nakuru National Park
After breakfast depart for Lake Nakuru National Park. Experience a stunning en route game drive taking you to the floor of the Great Rift Valley and on to Lake Nakuru National park. Arrive in time for lunch at Sarova Lion Hill.
After lunch, go for an afternoon game drive to see one of the largest ornithological spots, Flamingo, and a variety of wildlife not forgetting the famous Rhino Sanctuary found in this park. Return to your lodge.
Dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru.
Day 5: Lake Nakuru - Mount Kenya National Park
After breakfast drive via the Nyahururu Falls to the Aberdare. Have lunch on arrival at Aberdare lodge. Enjoy afternoon at leisure. You can opt for a bird watching session and overnight floodlit game viewing from the lodge viewing decks for undisturbed views of wildlife visiting the waterhole. Elephant, rhino, leopard, bushbuck and occasionally an elusive bongo and giant forest hog have been seen on the same occasions.
Dinner and overnight Mt. Kenya National Park.
Day 6: Mount Kenya National Park – Nairobi – Airport
After breakfast, drive to Nairobi, Kenya's colourful capital city. Today enjoy lunch at a local Indian restaurant. After lunch, transfer to Jomo Kenyatta Airport for your flight back home.
