Day 1: Kolkata - Dibrugarh
Arrive Dibrugarh by flight. Meet and greet at the airport and transfer to the heritage Chang Bungalow in the midst of a rolling tea garden.
After lunch take a tea tour around a tea estate to learn more about tea - its origin , how it is grown and all about tea tasting and quality. Evening enjoy an ethnic cultural performance in the bungalow lawns. Overnight at the Chang Bungalow.

Day 2: Dibrugarh
After early breakfast get ready for a day trip to Digboi.
Enroute we stop at the Tai Phakial village - an ethnic village, of the kith and kin of the Ahoms who ruled Assam for 600 years and who are still maintaining their age old culture.
At Digboi , the first Oil town of South Asia , we visit the Oil Museum and pay homage at the 2nd World War Allied Forces Cemetery where 200 graves are permanently maintained by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission.
We return to Dibrugarh late afternoon after having a packed lunch. Enroute see the Bell Temple where there are over two hundred thousand brass bells. Evening relax at the Chang Bungalow after a long day out and stay overnight.

Day 3: Dibrugarh - Jorhat
After breakfast drive to the river front and take a boat cruise in the mighty Brahmaputra in a country boat. Return to the mainland and drive to Sivasagar. At Sivasagar you’ll see the ruins of Ahom monuments and visit the Shiva Temple - believed to be the tallest of all Hindu Temples in existence. Then drive onwards to Jorhat.
Overnight at Thengal Manor - a heritage house.

Day 4: Jorhat - Kaziranga
After breakfast proceed on a day trip to Majuli Island - the largest inhabited river island in the world and famous for its Vaishnavite Satras ( monasteries ) and culture .
Visit the monasteries and interface with tribes in the island.
Return to mainland in the afternoon and drive to Kaziranga National Park - a World heritage site.
Stay overnight at Bonhabi Resort.

Day 5: Kaziranga
Early morning, go for an elephant safari in the central range of the park followed by a jeep safari after breakfast. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at Bon Habi Resort.

Day 6: Kaziranga - Shillong
After breakfast this morning, drive to Shillong in the state of Meghalaya - the “lands of clouds”. You’ll walk through a local market to imbibe the spirit of the Khasi tribal market place run by the womenfolk. Overnight at Royal Heritage - Tripura Castle.

Day 7: Shillong - Cherrapunjee - Shillong
After breakfast, get ready for a day trip to Cherrapunjee - the heaviest rainfall area in the world.
The drive will enable us to have spectacular view of deep gorges and the rolling hills luxurious with tropical vegetation that boasts of an innumerable variety of ferns ,moss and orchids.
Khasi literature was born here as the Khasis were taught the Roman script by the Welsh Missionaries. At Cherrapunjee you’ll explore the cave systems carved through limestone rocks - the stalactite and stagmalite formations are beautiful to behold. Return to Shillong in the evening to stay overnight at the Tripura Castle.

Day 8: Shillong - Guwahati - Departure
After an early breakfast, depart Shillong and drive to Guwhati airport for flight to the next destination.
