The Wanderers, a brand name floated by Wanderers Leisure Travels Private Limited, specialises in travel (to lesser-known exotic destinations), training and events. We have been in this 'vocation' since 1997 and have carved out a niche for ourselves in each of the above segments. We have an impressive client list of individuals and corporate clients from the field of FMCG, Finance and Banking, Pharmaceuticals, Manufacturing industry etc. We are set for expanding our travel, training and events operations and require dynamic and driven candidates who will partner our growth. We currently have offices in Mumbai (HO), Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Pune, Nagpur & Goa.

1) Job Title: Travel Content Writer

No. of postion: 1

Location: Mumbai

•Must have excellent written and spoken English skills.

•Develop professional, high quality, business-oriented industry and travel specific content.

•Ability to articulate newsletters, write blogs, Articles, Press Release and manage social media comments

•Candidate should be able to conduct periodic check of content health.

•Candidate should be to conduct online research, generate content for websites and write creative unique content.

•Must be professional and punctual and have passion for writing content.

•Good command over language and grammar

•Developing/ Editing News Reports, Articles

•Have basic knowledge of computers and Internet.

•Should possess General Awareness, self-motivated and tackle challenging assignment.

Candidate Profile:-The Candidate should be Graduate in English from a reputed university with good academic background. Must have past experience in online content writing. Having postgraduate degree or diploma in English / Mass Communication / Journalism would be a plus point.

(2) Job Title: Sales Manager-International Tours (FIT)

Number of positions: 1

Location: Ahmedabad

Essential Qualification: Graduate preferred (not mandatory)

Work experience: Min. 3-4 years of experience in Sales in FIT Outbound

Expected date of joining: Immediate

Candidate profile:

• Ability to work well within a team

• IATA background will be an added advantage

Compensation: Commensurate with experience and industry norms

(3) Job Title: Sr Sales Executive -International Tours (FIT)

Number of positions: 1

Location: Nagpur

Essential Qualification: Graduate preferred (not mandatory)

Work experience: Min. 1 year of experience in Sales in FIT Outbound

Expected date of joining: Immediate

Candidate profile:

• Ability to work well within a team

• IATA background will be an added advantage

(4) Job Title: Sr. Sales Manager-International Tours (FIT)

Number of positions: 1

Location: Kolkata

Essential Qualification: Graduate preferred (not mandatory)

Work experience: Min.4-6 years of experience in Sales in FIT Outbound with min 2 years experience in selling Europe, Australasia & Africa

Expected date of joining: Immediate

Candidate profile:

• Ability to work well within a team

• IATA background will be an added advantage

(5) Job Title: Sr. Product Planner (Internet content)

Number of positions: 1

Location: Mumbai

Essential Qualification: Graduate with an excellent command over English language. Those with knowledge of interacting on social media (facebook, twitter etc) will be preferred.

Work experience: Min.2 years of experience in planning outbound itineraries for FIT’s

Expected date of joining: Immediate

Candidate profile:

• Experience of working on travel website content will be an added advantage

(6) Job Title: Operations Manager-International Tours

Number of positions: 1

Location: Mumbai

Essential Qualification: Graduate preferred (not mandatory)

Work experience: Min.3-4 years of experience in operations dept of a reputed travel firm. Should have sound experience in preparing costings, preparing itineraries for clients and interacting with overseas operators.

(7) Job Title: Executive - Sales - Domestic (FIT)

Number of positions: 1

Location: Mumbai

Essential Qualification: Graduate preferred (not mandatory)

Work experience: Min. 2-3 years of sales experience in handling domestic clients

Expected date of joining: Immediate

Job responsibilities:

• Dealing with domestic enquiries and procuring rates, quotes from operators,hotels etc.

• Creating the costing for the order

• Support operations team for bookings & visas

Candidate profile:

• Proficient in use of MS Excel & Powerpoint

• Requisite knowledge of domestic destinations

• Ability to work well within a team

Compensation: Commensurate with experience and industry norms

(8) Job Title: Manager -Business Development - MICE

Number of positions: 2

Location: Mumbai

Essential Qualification: Min. Qual. Graduate, MBA preferred

Work experience: Min. 3-4 years of experience in MICE front-line sales

Expected date of joining: Immediate

Candidate profile:

• Well networked with ability to generate & develop business on your own

• Ability to work independently on preparing presentations and pitching to clients

• Ability to work well within a team

Compensation: Fixed + Incentives - Commensurate with experience and industry norms

Remuneration:
We can't pay you more than our illustrious competitors NOR will you work for free (but we wont stop you if you want to). You will get what you deserve and a bit more (if the year is good and better sense prevails amongst Naxals & Taliban who decide to say farewell to arms and wear sarongs and flower bands and open travel agencies showcasing Swat flower power and Gadchiroli tribal tours). You will get ample scope to go beyond your brief as long as you keep the clients happy (as well as our accountant Partha). During the day we drive each other crazy and workload buries us. But we also have small parties when we can and go on picnics and overnighters. So, join us if all this has excited you..

As part of our vision to expand into niche businesses, The Wanderers plan to open boutique lodges/guest houses in places in India. If you own a property (modern/historic/boutique) with a minimum of 4-10 bedrooms with attached toilets, with great views located near the sea/lake/river or up in the hills or in a place of tourist interest, do mail to abhik@thewanderers.co.in We are interested in leasing out such properties for tourism purpose.
